About Us

The Tour du Lac Brome Merrell is one of the finest traditions in Quebec. For the past thirty years, this annual event is held in the municipality of Lac Brome, near the village of Knowlton, a wonderful vacation site in the region of Eastern Townships. This race attracts thousands of runners from all over the province of Quebec.

05:30 p.m. - 22.2 km country road

05:30 p.m. -(last shuttle at 4:45 p.m.)

05:30 p.m. - 2 km trail (7 to 16 years old)

06:00 p.m. - 5 km road

06:30 p.m. - Award Ceremony for 2 km and 5 km

07:00 p.m. - 9 km trail

08:30 p.m. - Award Ceremony for 9 km and 22.2 km

Sunday June 17th, 2012

07:00 a.m. - Race kit pick up

09:00 a.m. - 20 km road

09:00 a.m. - 10 km road (last shuttle at 8:30 a.m.)

11:00 a.m. - Award Ceremony for 10 km and 20 km

11:30 a.m. - 1 km Petit marathon Radio-Canada

11:50 a.m. - Duck Mile (1.6 km)

01:00 p.m. - Award Ceremony for 1 km and 1.6 km

Start & Finish Line Area

Both Start & Finish lines take place in the same area at Lions’ Park excepting the start of the 10 km.

Start of the 10 km

The 10 km will depart on the North side of Lac Brome. A free shuttle bus service (7:00 a.m.) will take participants from Lions’ Park to the starting line.

			Bus transportation		Service bus transportation is provided for runners and attendants from Montreal to Lac Brome (including return) for a fee of only $ 20. The departure will take place at 6:00 am sunday, june 17 from the metro station Berri-UQAM (corner of Rue Sainte-Catherine and Berri) and the arrival in Lions Park is scheduled from around 7:30 a.m. You can subscribe online when registering for the race. 			Event sweater		A sweater for the event is given to the participants of theraces of 5 km and more.

			First Aid & Water Stations		Water & sports drinks stations are set up every 3-4 km along the courses and near the Start & Finish line area.

			Meal After Event		A traditional duck meal will be served to all participants who registered for an event. The meal includes: Brome Lake Duck, salads from Fontaine Santé, and more.

			Baggage check		Baggage check will open at 7:00 a.m. and is located near the registration tent. Bib number is needed to pick up your checked baggage after the race.

			Toilets		Outhouses available at Start & Finish area.

			Free Parking		Parking is located near the Lions’ Park on Center Street. Participants are invited to arrive early, if possible before 8:00 a.m.

			Spectators		Spectators Welcome...best viewing from start & finish area.

			Awards Ceremony		Top overall 3 males and females will receive prizes. Also, all participants will be eligible to the door prizes. All awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.

			Medals		Medals will be awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age category.

			Registration Deadline		By Mail: We must receive your registration at 12:00 p.m. on Monday June 11, 2012. Online: We must receive your registration at 12:00 p.m. on Friday June 15, 2012. There is no register on the Day of the Event.
